shipper_set_auto_merge
Section titled “shipper_set_auto_merge”Set the persistent Auto-merge choice for the active registered repository. This does not change Auto-ship enablement or start a daemon. An unregistered or unreadable repository registry refuses the change.
When to use
Section titled “When to use”Use when an operator wants to turn automatic Ready merges on or off for the active registered repository. The recorded choice is shared with CLI and Desktop and persists across restarts. This tool does not register a repository, change Auto-ship desired state, or start a daemon.
Behavior hints
Section titled “Behavior hints”- readOnlyHint: false — The tool changes a durable local Auto-merge choice.
- destructiveHint: false — The tool does not delete repository or workflow artifacts.
- idempotentHint: true — Repeating the same choice reports unchanged.
- openWorldHint: false — The tool writes local registry state without contacting GitHub.
