shipper_unadopt

Permanently remove an eligible imported GitHub issue from Shipper management while leaving the GitHub issue and its content in place. Runs immediately, has no confirmation token or force option, and reports all artifact cleanup and dependent conversions.

When to use

Use this one-call destructive tool to detach an issue that Shipper imported from an existing same-repository GitHub issue. It immediately removes owned development artifacts, strips every shipper: label in mirror-on, converts mirror-on dependent blockers, and deletes the local snapshot and complete history. The GitHub issue body, comments, assignee, unrelated labels, and open-or-closed state remain. Store-only makes no GitHub write and refuses while dependents exist. There is no confirmation token, force, override, or skip-checks field; a second call fails because the reference is no longer managed.

Behavior hints

• destructiveHint: true — The tool can remove or rewrite workflow artifacts and should be used carefully.
• idempotentHint: false — Retrying the same call may produce additional side effects.
• openWorldHint: true — The tool reaches GitHub or other external systems outside the MCP server.

Error modes

• Running stage: Un-adoption refused: S#42 has a running stage. Remedy: Wait for or stop it.
• Queued command: Un-adoption refused: S#42 has a queued command. Remedy: Stop the queued command from its issue card in Shipper Desktop, then retry.
• Open pull request: Un-adoption refused: open pull request #99 remains. Remedy: Merge or close it.
• Store-only dependents: Un-adoption refused: S#7 depends on S#42. Remedy: Remove or replace the blocker.
• Not managed or repeated: The reference ‘S#42’ is not managed by Shipper.
• Unavailable transport: Un-adoption is unavailable because this repository has no remote transport.
• Incomplete cleanup: Un-adoption incomplete for S#42 with per-artifact, label, deletion, warning, and error details.
