shipper_delete_repository
Section titled “shipper_delete_repository”Delete every registration for one canonical repository after existing work drains. Requires confirm:true; dry_run is always passive and takes precedence. Turns Auto-ship off, stops automatic work at safe checkpoints, lets admitted manual work and live questions finish, refuses fresh work/add/enable, and retains issue content/history, settings and checkouts. Operates independently of the active repository.
When to use
Section titled “When to use”Explicitly remove every registration for a canonical identity after drain. Call directly with confirm:true; no preview handshake is required. Dry-run wins over confirm and starts no host or migration. Auto-ship turns off and automatic work stops at checkpoints; admitted manual work, queues and live questions finish. Fresh work, add and enable refuse while pending. Content/history, settings and checkouts remain. Works with unavailable checkouts and independently of active selection. Observe deleting with list/status; after a lost acknowledgement inspect and retry the same identity. Current Shipper builds durably admit repository work before effects: pending deletion drains admitted manual queues and live questions, while automatic work stops at existing safe checkpoints. Normal Desktop Quit may close the UI while its main process or a capable daemon keeps deletion and protected sessions alive; reopening reattaches those sessions. Older unadmitted builds are outside this execution guarantee. Builds containing df2234313 refuse incompatible saved records before access or repair; this does not promise uninterrupted legacy execution. An unregistered identity returns unchanged without starting a host. After completion, register an alias again to use retained content/history with Auto-ship off.
Behavior hints
Section titled “Behavior hints”- readOnlyHint: false — The tool may intentionally modify repository or workflow state.
- destructiveHint: true — The tool can remove or rewrite workflow artifacts and should be used carefully.
- idempotentHint: true — Retrying the same call is expected to be safe once the target state is reached.
- openWorldHint: false — The tool does not reach GitHub or other external systems outside the MCP server.
